When you say that you are having a bad day, you will notice that you are only focusing on the bad things. Isn’t that wrong?
How can you ignore the good things that have happened? The good stuff might look insignificant but they are not. It’s important to appreciate the good things in life.
I understand that it is difficult to break the negative chain of thoughts. But the good news is that you can still do it.

What’s Bothering You?
The aim is not to ignore the bad things. Be aware of the things that are bothering you. List them now.
After the list is ready, think about it. Can you solve the problem? If the answer is yes, go and solve it. If the answer is no, just let it go.
Think about the bad stuff objectively. If you include subjectivity in it, you will end up overthinking. And we all know how bad it is to overthink.
Count The Blessings!
After listing the things that are bothering you, take a deep breathe and let it go. Change the focus now! Think about the good things. What made you happy today? What are the things that made you feel great?
Now create a list of all the good things that have happened. It can be something as small as having a good cup of coffee.
Remember, it’s a bad day not a bad life. Smile now!
